The Cathedral Notre-Dame de Paris is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Often simply known as Notre Dame, this is a Gothic cathedral located on the eastern half of the Ile de la Cite, the historical centre of Paris. Here, Napoleon Bonaparte was sacred Emperor of the French in 1804. From the Parvis de Notre Dame, you can admire the occidental facade of the cathedral but the best view is certainely the one you can have from the Latin quarter on the left bank of the Seine. And this is in the Latin quarter that Heart of Paris hotels offers a large range of charming hotels for your stay in Paris.
The Cathedral is open from 7:45 am to 6:45 pm and free visits are organised. For further information, you can visit www.cathedraledeparis.com
