Either you are in Paris for business or leisure, the Cadet Opera hotel is an excellent choice both by its location and its value.

You are less than 10 minutes by bus from Thalys and Eurostar trains and you don't need more time to reach the Department Stores of Printemps and Galeries Lafayette by walk or by metro (2 metro stations only). One more metro station and you reach the Opera House. Montmartre quarter is one km away on the north side and Grands Boulevards with their cafes, restaurants, cinemas and theatres is 500 metres away to the south.

Behind the facade with arcade, the hotel offers 85 rooms and suites. The hall and the reception desk are spacious and 2 elevators take you to upper floors. On the back side, you can access to the bar, the veranda, the breakfast room, the meeting and seminar room and also to the large green garden.

In the morning, you can enjoy a buffet breakfast with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, bread, pastries, jam, fruits, orange juice, cheese and cereals. During sunny days, you can have your breakfast in the garden.

The hotel is entirely air-conditioned and non-smoking in public areas and some rooms.

A wireless internet connection (wifi) is available everywhere in the hotel including rooms free of charge. In the hall, an internet corner is also at your disposal if you don't have your own PC.

Rooms

All rooms of the hotel Opera Cadet are soundproofed and equipped with double glazing windows and individual air-conditioning. Floors 1 and 2 are non-smoking.

Quality bedding, TV with international channels, mini-bar, wardrobe and private safe. Suites have also a separate lounge with sofa bed, TV and minibar.

The bathroom is equipped with a bath, washbasin, hair-dryer and WC.  Superior rooms and suites offer a spa bath and separate WC.

Some twin or triple rooms can welcome disabled persons and there are 5 communicating rooms.

Note that internet wifi is free of charge in all rooms.

Transportation

It is quite easy to reach places of interest in Paris by walk from the Opera Cadet. Anyway, if you don't want to walk or the distance is too long, you can find means of transportation close to the hotel.

Metro station "Cadet" (line 7) 50 metres.

Bus stops lines 26, 42, 43 and 48 are 50 metres away.

Bicycle : Vélib station to rent a bicycle facing the hotel.

Access from Roissy CDG : Taxi, airport shuttle or RER B to "Gare du Nord" station then bus line 43 or 48.

Access from Orly airport : Taxi, airport shuttle or Orlyval shuttle to "Antony" station then RER B to "Chatelet Les Halles" then metro line 7 to "Cadet" station.

Access from Gare du Nord, Eurostar and Thalys : Bus line 43 or 48.

Parking : The hotel has its own private indoor parking.

While the breakfast place mats show the hotel on a busy street, in fact it is on a pedestrian street which, of course, is good: much quieter even on the 'street' side. The breakfast while continental was high quality and came at no extra cost. Very good service. Right across the street is a city bicycle rental stand (although using the automated rental machine was quite a challenge).
