Aquarium de Paris is situated in the Trocadéro Gardens right in the heart of the 16th arrondissement of Paris. It was built during
the Paris World Fair in 1878. Closed for extensive renovations in 1985, the aquarium was
reopened in 2006 and has since welcomed adults and children from all
over the world to visit its varied collections of marine life.
With 10.000 fishes presented over 3,500 m2, Aquarium de Paris -
Cinéaqua is the place to discover an exciting and abundant natural
world. In the aquarium, four million litres of water house sharks, sea urchins, clown fishes and a multitude of other sea life in 43 basins of different shapes and sizes. Right
in the center of the aquarium is the biggest basin in France, the famous
Shark Tunnel where 25 sharks from four species swim languidly to the
awe of visitors.
To heighten the experience of watching beautiful
marine life, the aquarium proposes 2 cinemas, a touch pool to stroke and
feed fishes, as well as various shows to entertain visitors. A day to the Aquarium de Paris is indeed a magical moment

Aquarium de Paris is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day of the week
as well as on public holidays (except for 14 July). Tickets may be
purchased at the entrance and include entry to the basins, activities,
animations and workshops programmed for the day*.
