The Hotel Du Parc is a family run hotel entirely renovated in a contemporary atmosphere in the heart of the very lively quarter of Montparnasse.

Overlooking a green square, the hotel stands less than 200 metres from Montparnasse tower and the railway station of the same name. The rue Jolivet when the hotel is located is perpendicular to the rue de la Gaite where are some of the most famous theatres such Rive Gauche, Bobino, Gaite Montparnasse and the Comedie Italienne (Italian Comedy). You will also find many restaurants, cafes and cinemas which make this area so lively till late in the evening. But don't worry if you want to rest as the street is mainly quiet and windows are soundproofed. If you plan to visit other quarters in Paris, public transportation will take you there within a few minutes.

The hotel itself offers a quality of facility and services which is comparable to what you can find in superior 3 star hotels but for a reasonable price. Newly renovated, the hotel and the rooms offer a very surprising comfort.

Colors in the hotel are contemporary and even modern with a blend of warm and bright. You access the reception via a white and orange stair. On the left side, the receptionist installed behind a nice woody reception desk with a large carved iron plaque welcomes you and help you whatever is your need.

On the right, a breakfast room overlooking the square offers  a large buffet breakfast and is equipped with a large flat screen tv where you can watch. Added to a standard breakfast including hot drink, pastries and bread, you will enjoy pure fruit juices, mixed fruits salad, cheese, yogurts, cereals and cake.
 
Facing the reception desk, a business corners equipped with an Apple Mac, a printer and wireless internet access (wifi) is at your disposal free of charge. While on the left side, a secured luggage room will receive your baggage.

Rooms

Most of rooms are on the courtyard side. Furniture, fabrics and curtains are well-matched including the interior of the wardrobe.

All rooms offer individual air-conditioning, flat screen tv with Canal Satellite, Canal+, international channels, desk corner, wardrobe and private safe.

In bathrooms with wc, you will find bathtub or shower and sometimes both,  hair dryer, washbasin with mirror and towel dryer.

Transportation

Metro station "Edgar Quinet" (line 6) 100 metres. Direct to the Eiffel tower and the Arc de Triomphe on the Champs-Elysees

Access from Roissy CDG airport : Taxi or airport shuttle or train RER B to "Denfert Rochereau" station then 2  metro stops to "Edgar Quinet" station.

Access from Orly airport : Taxi or airport shuttle or Orlyval shuttle to "Antony" station then RER B to "Denfert Rochereau" station then 2 metro stations to "Edgar Quinet".

Room extremely comfortable, well equipped and very clean with excellent air conditioning and nice, well-equipped shower room. The stair carpet going up to reception could have done with a clean, but everywhere else was fine. Reception was welcoming. Ideal place to stay in Montparnasse particularly as away from main roads so no noisy traffic. We didn't take breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment on it.
